The annual North Central Idaho Grazing Conference is sponsored
by the University of Idaho Extension System, Idaho Association of Conservation Districts (IASCD) Division II, Natural Resources
Conservation Service, and the Idaho State Soil Conservation Commission. The Latah Soil and Water Conservation District,
through its association with IASCD, is also involved in the event.
The 5th annual conference was held on Jan. 8th, 2009 from 8 am to
3:30 pm at the Lewis-Clark State College Williams Conference Center. Presenters included: John Dodd, Forage Genetics International,
"Managing Productive Grass Stands & Perennial Species, Roger Sheley, USDA Ag Research Service, "Strategies for
Effective Control of Grassy Weeds in Pasture & Range" and Leon Slichter, Grangeville, Idaho "Producer's
